    नमो नमस्तुभ्यमसह्यवेगशक्तित्रयायाखिलधीगुणाय । प्रपन्नपालाय दुरन्तशक्तये कदिन्द्रियाणामनवाप्यवर्त्मने ॥ ८-३-२८ ॥namo namastubhyamasahyavegazaktitrayAyAkhiladhIguNAya । prapannapAlAya durantazaktaye kadindriyANAmanavApyavartmane ॥ 8-3-28 ॥My Lord, You are the controller of formidable strength in three kinds of energy. You appear as the reservoir of all sense pleasure and the protector of the surrendered souls. You possess unlimited energy, but You are unapproachable by those who are unable to control their senses. I offer my respectful obeisances unto You again and again. ॥ 8-3-28 ॥

    सोऽहं विश्वसृजं विश्वमविश्वं विश्ववेदसम् । विश्वात्मानमजं ब्रह्म प्रणतोऽस्मि परं पदम् ॥ ८-३-२६ ॥so'haM vizvasRjaM vizvamavizvaM vizvavedasam । vizvAtmAnamajaM brahma praNato'smi paraM padam ॥ 8-3-26 ॥Now, fully desiring release from material life, I offer my respectful obeisances unto that Supreme Person who is the creator of the universe, who is Himself the form of the universe and who is nonetheless transcendental to this cosmic manifestation. He is the supreme knower of everything in this world, the Supersoul of the universe. He is the unborn, supremely situated Lord. I offer my respectful obeisances unto Him. ॥ 8-3-26 ॥

And is there anything in existence — whether designated by various philosophers as real or as unreal — that is actually outside Your abdomen? ॥ 10-14-12 ॥

    अथ तत्र भवान् किं देवदत्तवदिह गुणविसर्गपतितः पारतन्त्र्येण स्वकृतकुशलाकुशलं फलमुपाददात्याहोस्विदात्माराम उपशमशीलः समञ्जसदर्शन उदास्त इति ह वाव न विदामः ॥ ६-९-३५ ॥atha tatra bhavAn kiM devadattavadiha guNavisargapatitaH pAratantryeNa svakRtakuzalAkuzalaM phalamupAdadAtyAhosvidAtmArAma upazamazIlaH samaJjasadarzana udAsta iti ha vAva na vidAmaH ॥ 6-9-35 ॥These are our inquiries. The ordinary conditioned soul is subject to the material laws, and he thus receives the fruits of his actions. Does Your Lordship, like an ordinary human being, exist within this material world in a body produced by the material modes? Do You enjoy or suffer the good or bad results of actions under the influence of time, past work and so forth? Or, on the contrary, are You present here only as a neutral witness who is self-sufficient, free from all material desires, and always full of spiritual potency? We certainly cannot understand Your actual position. ॥ 6-9-35 ॥

    जिजीविषे नाहमिहामुया किमन्तर्बहिश्चावृतयेभयोन्या । इच्छामि कालेन न यस्य विप्लवस्तस्यात्मलोकावरणस्य मोक्षम् ॥ ८-३-२५ ॥jijIviSe nAhamihAmuyA kimantarbahizcAvRtayebhayonyA । icchAmi kAlena na yasya viplavastasyAtmalokAvaraNasya mokSam ॥ 8-3-25 ॥I do not wish to live anymore after I am released from the attack of the crocodile. What is the use of an elephant’s body covered externally and internally by ignorance? I simply desire eternal liberation from the covering of ignorance. That covering is not destroyed by the influence of time. ॥ 8-3-25 ॥

    ओं नमस्तेऽस्तु भगवन् नारायण वासुदेवाऽऽदिपुरुष महापुरुष महानुभाव परममङ्गल परमकल्याण परमकारुणिक केवल जगदाधार लोकैकनाथ सर्वेश्वर लक्ष्मीनाथ परमहंसपरिव्राजकैः परमेणात्मयोगसमाधिना परिभावितपरिस्फुटपारमहंस्यधर्मेणोद्घाटिततमःकपाटद्वारे चित्तेऽपावृत आत्मलोके स्वयमुपलब्धनिजसुखानुभवो भवान् ॥ ६-९-३३ ॥oM namaste'stu bhagavan nArAyaNa vAsudevA''dipuruSa mahApuruSa mahAnubhAva paramamaGgala paramakalyANa paramakAruNika kevala jagadAdhAra lokaikanAtha sarvezvara lakSmInAtha paramahaMsaparivrAjakaiH parameNAtmayogasamAdhinA paribhAvitaparisphuTapAramahaMsyadharmeNodghATitatamaHkapATadvAre citte'pAvRta Atmaloke svayamupalabdhanijasukhAnubhavo bhavAn ॥ 6-9-33 ॥O Supreme Personality of Godhead, O Nārāyaṇa, O Vāsudeva, original person! O most exalted person, supreme experience, welfare personified! O supreme benediction, supremely merciful and changeless! O support of the cosmic manifestation, sole proprietor of all planetary systems, master of everything and husband of the goddess of fortune! Your Lordship is realized by the topmost sannyāsīs, who wander about the world to preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness, fully absorbed in samādhi through bhakti-yoga. Because their minds are concentrated upon You, they can receive the conception of Your personality in their fully purified hearts. When the darkness in their hearts is completely eradicated and You are revealed to them, the transcendental bliss they enjoy is the transcendental form of Your Lordship. No one but such persons can realize You. Therefore we simply offer You our respectful obeisances. ॥ 6-9-33 ॥

    दिदृक्षवो यस्य पदं सुमङ्गलं विमुक्तसङ्गा मुनयः सुसाधवः । चरन्त्यलोकव्रतमव्रणं वने भूतात्मभूताः सुहृदः स मे गतिः ॥ ८-३-७ ॥didRkSavo yasya padaM sumaGgalaM vimuktasaGgA munayaH susAdhavaH । carantyalokavratamavraNaM vane bhUtAtmabhUtAH suhRdaH sa me gatiH ॥ 8-3-7 ॥Renunciants and great sages who see all living beings equally, who are friendly to everyone and who flawlessly practice in the forest the vows of brahmacarya, vānaprastha and sannyāsa desire to see the all-auspicious lotus feet of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. May that same Supreme Personality of Godhead be my destination. ॥ 8-3-7 ॥

    यत्ते गतीनां तिसृणामीशितुः परमं पदम् । नार्वाचीनो विसर्गस्य धातर्वेदितुमर्हति ॥ ६-९-३२ ॥yatte gatInAM tisRNAmIzituH paramaM padam । nArvAcIno visargasya dhAtarveditumarhati ॥ 6-9-32 ॥O supreme controller, You control the three destinations ॥ promotion to the heavenly planets, birth as a human being, and condemnation in hell॥, yet Your supreme abode is Vaikuṇṭha-dhāma. Since we appeared after You created this cosmic manifestation, Your activities are impossible for us to understand. We therefore have nothing to offer You but our humble obeisances. ॥ 6-9-32 ॥

    देवा ऊचुः नमस्ते यज्ञवीर्याय वयसे उत ते नमः । नमस्ते ह्यस्तचक्राय नमः सुपुरुहूतये ॥ ६-९-३१ ॥devA UcuH namaste yajJavIryAya vayase uta te namaH । namaste hyastacakrAya namaH supuruhUtaye ॥ 6-9-31 ॥The demigods said: O Supreme Personality of Godhead, You are competent to give the results of sacrifice, and You are also the time factor that destroys all such results in due course. You are the one who releases the cakra to kill the demons. O Lord, who possess many varieties of names, we offer our respectful obeisances unto You. ॥ 6-9-31 ॥

    दृष्ट्वा तमवनौ सर्व ईक्षणाह्लादविक्लवाः । दण्डवत्पतिता राजञ्छनैरुत्थाय तुष्टुवुः ॥ ६-९-३० ॥dRSTvA tamavanau sarva IkSaNAhlAdaviklavAH । daNDavatpatitA rAjaJchanairutthAya tuSTuvuH ॥ 6-9-30 ॥They were overwhelmed with happiness and immediately fell down like rods, offering daṇḍavats. Then they slowly rose and pleased the Lord by offering Him prayers. ॥ 6-9-30 ॥
