समाप्तवनवासानां राज्यस्थानां च नः पुनः । अन्तःपुरविभूषार्थो मृग एष भविष्यति ॥ ३-४३-१६
After the completion of exile in the forest, when we are back in the kingdom, this deer will add beauty to the harem. ॥ 3-43-16॥
english translation
samAptavanavAsAnAM rAjyasthAnAM ca naH punaH । antaHpuravibhUSArtho mRga eSa bhaviSyati ॥ 3-43-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभरतस्यार्यपुत्रस्य श्वश्रूणां मम च प्रभो । मृगरूपमिदं व्यक्तं विस्मयं जनयिष्यति ॥ ३-४३-१७
Oh ! king this deer will create amazement in Bharata, in mothers-in-law, in you and in me as well. ॥ 3-43-17॥
english translation
bharatasyAryaputrasya zvazrUNAM mama ca prabho । mRgarUpamidaM vyaktaM vismayaM janayiSyati ॥ 3-43-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptजीवन्न यदि तेऽभ्येति ग्रहणं मृगसत्तमः । अजिनं नरशार्दूल रुचिरं मे भविष्यति ॥ ३-४३-१८
Oh ! best among men, if this great deer cannot be captured alive, I will wear its beautiful skin. ॥ 3-43-18॥
english translation
jIvanna yadi te'bhyeti grahaNaM mRgasattamaH । ajinaM narazArdUla ruciraM me bhaviSyati ॥ 3-43-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनिहतस्यास्य सत्त्वस्य जाम्बूनदमयत्वचि । शष्पबृस्यां विनीतायामिच्छाम्यहमुपासितुम् ॥ ३-४३-१९
If this animal is killed and its golden skin is spread on a tender grass cushion, there will I like to sit. ॥ 3-43-19॥

nihatasyAsya sattvasya jAmbUnadamayatvaci । zaSpabRsyAM vinItAyAmicchAmyahamupAsitum ॥ 3-43-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकामवृत्तमिदं रौद्रं स्त्रीणामसदृशं मतम् । वपुषा त्वस्य सत्त्वस्य विस्मयो जनितो मम ॥ ३-४३-२०
This kind of request arising out of a woman's desire may sound terrible, still then the beauty of this animal's skin has produced in me a wonder.' ॥ 3-43-20॥

kAmavRttamidaM raudraM strINAmasadRzaM matam । vapuSA tvasya sattvasya vismayo janito mama ॥ 3-43-20
