मृत्युं मरणधर्मेण सङ्क्रुद्धो योजयाम्यहम् । राघवं तं बलोत्सिक्तं भ्रातरं चास्य लक्ष्मणम् ॥ ३-२३-२१
If angered, I can cause mortality to the god of death. To that Rama who is proud of his strength and his brother Lakshmana - ॥ 3-23-21॥
english translation
mRtyuM maraNadharmeNa saGkruddho yojayAmyaham । rAghavaM taM balotsiktaM bhrAtaraM cAsya lakSmaNam ॥ 3-23-21
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअहत्वा सायकैस्तीक्ष्णैर्नोपावर्तितुमुत्सहे । सकामा भगिनी मेऽस्तु पीत्वा तु रुधिरं तयोः ॥ ३-२३-२२
- without killing them with my sharp arrows, I do not wish to return. Let my sister be satisfied by drinking the blood of both . - ॥ 3-23-22॥
english translation
ahatvA sAyakaistIkSNairnopAvartitumutsahe । sakAmA bhaginI me'stu pItvA tu rudhiraM tayoH ॥ 3-23-22
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयन्निमित्तस्तु रामस्य लक्ष्मणस्य विपर्ययः । न क्वचित्प्राप्तपूर्वो मे संयुगेषु पराजयः ॥ ३-२३-२३
- Rama and Lakshmana on whose account this adversity has come. I have never faced defeat in wars - ॥ 3-23-23॥
english translation
yannimittastu rAmasya lakSmaNasya viparyayaH । na kvacitprAptapUrvo me saMyugeSu parAjayaH ॥ 3-23-23
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयुष्माकमेतत्प्रत्यक्षं नानृतं कथयाम्यहम् । देवराजमपि क्रुद्धो मत्तैरावतयायिनम् ॥ ३-२३-२४
- and all of you have seen it with your eyes. I am not telling you a lie. When I am angry, to the lord of the gods, rider of the intoxicated Airavata and . - ॥ 3-23-24॥

yuSmAkametatpratyakSaM nAnRtaM kathayAmyaham । devarAjamapi kruddho mattairAvatayAyinam ॥ 3-23-24
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवज्रहस्तं रणे हन्यां किं पुनस्तौ कुमानुषौ । सा तस्य गर्जितं श्रुत्वा राक्षसस्य महाचमूः ॥ ३-२३-२५
- the wielder of the thunderbolt ( Indra ), I can kill even him ( Indra ). What to speak of these two petty humans?' On hearing Khara roaring, the great army of the demon . - ॥ 3-23-25॥

vajrahastaM raNe hanyAM kiM punastau kumAnuSau । sA tasya garjitaM zrutvA rAkSasasya mahAcamUH ॥ 3-23-25
