वासश च परिधायैकं कृष्णं सुमलिनं महत कृत्वा वेषं च सैरन्ध्र्याः कृष्णा वयचरद आर्तवत ॥ ४-८-२ ॥

'She wore a single piece of dark cloth—soiled yet of fine quality—and dressed herself in the humble guise of a Sairandhri. With a look of quiet affliction, she began to wander here and there.' ॥ 4-8-2 ॥

vAsaza ca paridhAyaikaM kRSNaM sumalinaM mahata kRtvA veSaM ca sairandhryAH kRSNA vayacarada Artavata ॥ 4-8-2 ॥
