‘A mere player at dice, thou wert employed by me as a courtier! How is it that thou now occupyest the royal seat, adorned in such splendid robes and ornaments?’ ।। 4-65-6 ।।
‘This person, O king, is worthy even to occupy the seat of Indra himself. Devoted to the Brahmanas, well-versed in the Vedas, indifferent to luxury and sensual pleasures, ever engaged in sacrifices, and steadfast in his vows, he is indeed the very embodiment of virtue.’ ।। 4-65-8 ।।
‘Foremost among all men, endowed with extraordinary energy and surpassing all on earth in intelligence, devoted to asceticism and skilled in various weapons, he is unparalleled.’ ।। 4-65-9 ।।
