स किलाक्षाति वापस तवं सभास्तारॊ मया कृतः अथ राजासने कस्माद उपविष्टॊ ऽसय अलं कृतः ॥ ४-६५-६ ॥
‘A mere player at dice, thou wert employed by me as a courtier! How is it that thou now occupyest the royal seat, adorned in such splendid robes and ornaments?’ ॥ 4-65-6 ॥

sa kilAkSAti vApasa tavaM sabhAstArò mayA kRtaH atha rAjAsane kasmAda upaviSTò 'saya alaM kRtaH ॥ 4-65-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरिहासेप्सया वाक्यं विराटस्य निशम्य त समयमानॊ ऽरजुनॊ राजन्न इदं वचनम अब्रवीत ॥ ४-६५-७ ॥
‘Hearing the king’s words, spoken in jest and with playful intent, Arjuna, smiling, addressed the monarch with these words.’ ॥ 4-65-7 ॥

parihAsepsayA vAkyaM virATasya nizamya ta samayamAnò 'rajunò rAjanna idaM vacanama abravIta ॥ 4-65-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइन्द्रस्याप्य आसनं राजन्न अयम आरॊढुम अर्हति बरह्मण्यः शुतवांस तयागी यज्ञशीलॊ दृढव्रतः ॥ ४-६५-८ ॥
‘This person, O king, is worthy even to occupy the seat of Indra himself. Devoted to the Brahmanas, well-versed in the Vedas, indifferent to luxury and sensual pleasures, ever engaged in sacrifices, and steadfast in his vows, he is indeed the very embodiment of virtue.’ ॥ 4-65-8 ॥

indrasyApya AsanaM rAjanna ayama AròDhuma arhati barahmaNyaH zutavAMsa tayAgI yajJazIlò dRDhavrataH ॥ 4-65-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअयं कुरूणाम ऋषभः कुन्तीपुत्रॊ युधिष्ठिरः अस्य कीर्तिः सथिता लॊके सूर्यस्येवॊद्यतः परभा ॥ ४-६५-९ ॥
‘Foremost among all men, endowed with extraordinary energy and surpassing all on earth in intelligence, devoted to asceticism and skilled in various weapons, he is unparalleled.’ ॥ 4-65-9 ॥

ayaM kurUNAma RSabhaH kuntIputrò yudhiSThiraH asya kIrtiH sathitA lòke sUryasyevòdyataH parabhA ॥ 4-65-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंसरन्ति दिशः सर्वा यशसॊ ऽसय गभस्तयः उदितस्येव सूर्यस्य तेजसॊ ऽनु गभस्तयः ॥ ४-६५-१० ॥
‘All the directions resound with the fame of this hero, shining forth like the radiance that follows the rising sun.’ ॥ 4-65-10 ॥

saMsaranti dizaH sarvA yazasò 'saya gabhastayaH uditasyeva sUryasya tejasò 'nu gabhastayaH ॥ 4-65-10 ॥
