'Behold, today I shall overthrow the multitudinous Kuru host as a tempest scatters a heap of cotton. With my fiery arrows, I will set the Kuru forest ablaze, its banners serving as trees, foot-soldiers as shrubs, and chariot-warriors as the beasts that roam among them.' ।। 4-56-12 ।।
'Like the wielder of the thunderbolt overthrowing the Danavas, I alone shall, with my straight arrows, strike down from the chambers of their chariots the mighty warriors of the Kuru army, struggling with all their strength.' ।। 4-56-13 ।।
'I have obtained from Rudra the Raudra, from Varuna the Varuna, from Agni the Agneya, from the god of Wind the Vayava, and from Sakra the thunderbolt and other celestial weapons.' ।। 4-56-14 ।।
'I shall certainly annihilate the fierce Dhartarashtra forest, though it be guarded by many leonine warriors. Therefore, O son of Virata, let thy fears be dispelled.' ।। 4-56-15 ।।
