धवजवृक्षं पत्तितृणं रथसिंहगणायुतम वनम आदीपयिष्यामि कुरूणाम अस्त्रतेजसा ॥ ४-५६-१२ ॥
'Behold, today I shall overthrow the multitudinous Kuru host as a tempest scatters a heap of cotton. With my fiery arrows, I will set the Kuru forest ablaze, its banners serving as trees, foot-soldiers as shrubs, and chariot-warriors as the beasts that roam among them.' ॥ 4-56-12 ॥
