दिव्यान्य अस्त्राणि मुञ्चन्तं भारद्वाजं महारणे अस्त्रैर अस्त्राणि संवार्य पल्गुनः समयॊधयत ॥ ४-५३-४६ ॥
'And the son of Bharadwāja continued the contest with Phālguna, countering the celestial weapons loosed by him with his own divine missiles.' ॥ 4-53-46 ॥
english translation
divyAnya astrANi muJcantaM bhAradvAjaM mahAraNe astraira astrANi saMvArya palgunaH samayòdhayata ॥ 4-53-46 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतयॊर आसीत संप्रहारः करुद्धयॊर नरसिंहयॊः अमर्षिणॊस तदान्यॊन्यं देवदानवयॊर इव ॥ ४-५३-४७ ॥
'And the combat that raged between those enraged lions among men—each unable to endure the other—was like the clash of the gods and the Dānavas.' ॥ 4-53-47 ॥

tayòra AsIta saMprahAraH karuddhayòra narasiMhayòH amarSiNòsa tadAnyònyaM devadAnavayòra iva ॥ 4-53-47 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptऐन्द्रं वायव्यम आग्नेयम अस्त्रम अस्त्रेण पाण्डवः दरॊणेन मुक्तं मुक्तं तु गरसते सम पुनः पुनः ॥ ४-५३-४८ ॥
'The son of Pāṇḍu, with unerring skill, time and again foiled the Aindra, Vāyavya, and Agneya weapons launched by Droṇa, meeting each with weapons of his own.' ॥ 4-53-48 ॥

aindraM vAyavyama Agneyama astrama astreNa pANDavaH daròNena muktaM muktaM tu garasate sama punaH punaH ॥ 4-53-48 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं शूरौ महेष्वासौ विसृजन्तौ शिताञ शरान एकछायं चक्रतुस ताव आकाशं शरवृष्टिभिः ॥ ४-५३-४९ ॥
'Loosing keen shafts in rapid succession, those mighty bowmen filled the heavens with showers of arrows, casting a vast and shifting canopy of shade across the field.' ॥ 4-53-49 ॥

evaM zUrau maheSvAsau visRjantau zitAJa zarAna ekachAyaM cakratusa tAva AkAzaM zaravRSTibhiH ॥ 4-53-49 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ ऽरजुनेन मुक्तानां पततां च शरीरिषु पर्वतेष्व इव वर्जाणां शराणां शरूयते सवनः ॥ ४-५३-५० ॥
'And as Arjuna’s shafts struck the bodies of his foes, they resounded with the crash of the thunderbolt.' ॥ 4-53-50 ॥

tatò 'rajunena muktAnAM patatAM ca zarIriSu parvateSva iva varjANAM zarANAM zarUyate savanaH ॥ 4-53-50 ॥
