स तद अप्य अस्य कौन्तेयश चिच्छेद नतपर्वणा एवम अन्यानि चापानि बहूनि कृतहस्तवत शारद्वतस्य चिच्छेद पाण्डवः परवीह्र हा ॥ ४-५२-१६ ॥
'Remarkably, that bow too was severed by Kunti’s son with straight, piercing shafts. Thus, the son of Pandu relentlessly cut down every bow Saradwat’s son wielded, one after another, as they were raised in battle.' ॥ 4-52-16 ॥
english translation
sa tada apya asya kaunteyaza ciccheda nataparvaNA evama anyAni cApAni bahUni kRtahastavata zAradvatasya ciccheda pANDavaH paravIhra hA ॥ 4-52-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस छिन्नधनुर आदाय अथ शक्तिं परतापवान पराहिणॊत पाण्डुपुत्राय परदीप्ताम अशनीम इव ॥ ४-५२-१७ ॥
'When all his bows were thus severed, the mighty hero hurled from his chariot a javelin blazing like a thunderbolt at the son of Pandu.' ॥ 4-52-17 ॥

sa chinnadhanura AdAya atha zaktiM paratApavAna parAhiNòta pANDuputrAya paradIptAma azanIma iva ॥ 4-52-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptताम अर्जुनस तदायान्तीं शक्तिं हेमविभूषिताम वियद गतां महॊल्काभं चिच्छेद दशभिः शरैः सापतद दशधा छिन्ना भूमौ पार्थेन धीमता ॥ ४-५२-१८ ॥
'As the gold-adorned javelin sped through the air with the brilliance of a meteor, Arjuna deftly cut it down with ten sharp arrows. Witnessing his dart thus destroyed by the wise Arjuna, Kripa swiftly seized another bow and nearly at once unleashed a volley of crescent-shaped arrows.' ॥ 4-52-18 ॥

tAma arjunasa tadAyAntIM zaktiM hemavibhUSitAma viyada gatAM mahòlkAbhaM ciccheda dazabhiH zaraiH sApatada dazadhA chinnA bhUmau pArthena dhImatA ॥ 4-52-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयुगमध्ये तु भल्लैस तु ततः स सधनुः कृपः तम आशु निशितैः पार्थं बिभेद दशभिः शरैः ॥ ४-५२-१९ ॥
'Yet Partha quickly shattered them into fragments with ten keen-edged shafts.' ॥ 4-52-19 ॥

yugamadhye tu bhallaisa tu tataH sa sadhanuH kRpaH tama Azu nizitaiH pArthaM bibheda dazabhiH zaraiH ॥ 4-52-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः पार्थॊ महातेजा विशिखान अग्नितेजसः चिक्षेप समरे करुद्धस तरयॊदश शिलाशितान ॥ ४-५२-२० ॥
'Filled with intense wrath on the battlefield, the son of Pritha then discharged thirty arrows, whetted on stone and blazing like flames of fire.' ॥ 4-52-20 ॥
