शरेयः सदात्मनॊ दृष्ट्वा परं राज्ञा न संवदेत विशेषयेन न राजानं यॊग्या भूमिषु सर्वदा ॥ ४-४-३६ ॥
'No one should, out of self-interest, hold secret communications with the king’s enemies. Nor should any one attempt to outshine the king in matters requiring skill and talent.' ॥ 4-4-36 ॥

zareyaH sadAtmanò dRSTvA paraM rAjJA na saMvadeta vizeSayena na rAjAnaM yògyA bhUmiSu sarvadA ॥ 4-4-36 ॥
