'Vaiśampāyana said: Then, O Bhārata, as the world was enveloped in darkness and the dust of battle, the warriors of both sides, their formations still intact, stood motionless for a while, refraining from combat.' ।। 4-32-1 ।।
'And then, as if to dispel that gloom, the moon rose high, lighting up the night and bringing joy to the hearts of the Kshatriya warriors.' ।। 4-32-2 ।।
'And when all became visible once more, the battle was renewed. It raged with such ferocity that the warriors could no longer distinguish friend from foe.' ।। 4-32-3 ।।
