[वै] तमसाभिप्लुते लॊके रजसा चैव भारत वयतिष्ठन वै मुहूर्तं तु वयूढानीकाः परहारिणः ॥ ४-३२-१॥
'Vaiśampāyana said: Then, O Bhārata, as the world was enveloped in darkness and the dust of battle, the warriors of both sides, their formations still intact, stood motionless for a while, refraining from combat.' ॥ 4-32-1 ॥
