[भीमस] अहं शृणॊमि ते वाचं तवया सैरन्धि भाषिताम तस्मात ते सूतपुत्रेभ्यॊ न भयं भीरु विद्यते ।। ४-२२-१६ ।।

'[Bhima said:] I have heard thy words, O Sairindhri. Therefore, O gentle lady, fear not the sons of the Suta any longer.' ।। 4-22-16 ।।

[bhImasa] ahaM zRNòmi te vAcaM tavayA sairandhi bhASitAma tasmAta te sUtaputrebhyò na bhayaM bhIru vidyate || 4-22-16 ||

[वै] इत्य उक्त्वा स महाबाहुर विजजृम्भे जिघांसया ततः स वयायतं कृत्वा वेषं विपरिवर्त्य च अद्वारेणाभ्यवस्कन्द्य निर्जगाम बहिस तदा ।। ४-२२-१७ ।।

'Vaisampayana continued: "Having spoken thus, the mighty-armed Bhima, intent on slaying the Kichakas, began to swell with rage. Carefully altering his disguise, he left the palace through a hidden exit."' ।। 4-22-17 ।।

english translation

[vai] itya uktvA sa mahAbAhura vijajRmbhe jighAMsayA tataH sa vayAyataM kRtvA veSaM viparivartya ca advAreNAbhyavaskandya nirjagAma bahisa tadA || 4-22-17 ||

स भीमसेनः पराकाराद आरुज्य तरसा दरुमम शमशानाभिमुखः परायाद यत्र ते कीचका गताः ।। ४-२२-१८ ।।

'Climbing over a wall with the help of a tree, he made his way toward the cremation ground where the Kichakas had gone. And leaping down outside the splendid city, Bhima rushed forward with fierce determination to where the sons of the Suta were.' ।। 4-22-18 ।।

sa bhImasenaH parAkArAda Arujya tarasA darumama zamazAnAbhimukhaH parAyAda yatra te kIcakA gatAH || 4-22-18 ||

And, O monarch, as he made his way toward the funeral pyre, he beheld a tall tree—its height like that of a palmyra, broad at the base, its top dry and withered.

'Then that slayer of foes, Bhima, wrapping his arms around the massive trunk—measuring ten vyamas in length— uprooted it like a mighty elephant and hoisted it upon his shoulders. And taking up that tree—with trunk and branches intact, measuring ten Vyamas—that mighty hero rushed toward the Sutas, like Yama himself, wielding a mace.' ।। 4-22-19 ।।

ऊरुवेगेन तस्याथ नयग्रॊधाश्वत्थ किंशुकाः भूमौ निपतिता वृक्षाः संघशस तत्र शेरते ।। ४-२२-२० ।।

'As he charged forward with fierce momentum, banyan, peepal, and kimshuka trees crashed to the ground, falling in clusters.' ।। 4-22-20 ।।
