'For you have the bearing of a king, and I hold you in high regard. Your presence here pleases me no less than if Yudhishṭhira himself were standing before me. Ah, how does that blameless son of Pāṇḍu live and find joy in the forest, now bereft of attendants and royal comforts?' ।। 4-11-11 ।।

'Yet none recognized him while he lived under Virāṭa’s protection. Thus did the sons of Pāṇḍu—those whose very presence never went without impact— continue to dwell in the kingdom of the Matsyas. True to their vow, those lords of the earth, whose domains once stretched to the ocean's edge, bore their days in concealment with calm resolve, despite the deep anguish that weighed upon them.' ।। 4-11-13 ।।
