Then your son Duryodhana advanced in the engagement with a thousand chariots against the Pāṇḍavas and against the rākṣasa Ghaṭotkaca.

तथैव पाण्डवाः सर्वे महत्या सेनया सह । द्रोणभीष्मौ रणे शूरौ प्रत्युद्ययुररिंदमौ॥६-५३-३२॥
Likewise, all the Pāṇḍavas, together with a large force, advanced in response against the two heroes in the field—Droṇa and Bhīṣma—both subduers of enemies.

किरीटी तु ययौ क्रुद्धः समर्थान्पार्थिवोत्तमान् । आर्जुनिः सात्यकिश्चैव ययतुः सौबलं बलम्॥६-५३-३३॥
Kirīṭin (Arjuna), wrathful, advanced against the able and foremost kings; and Ārjuni (Abhimanyu), together with Sātyaki, pressed forward against the Saubala contingent.
