Seeing that force routed, your sire Devavrata (Bhīṣma) spoke in the engagement to the heroic Bhāradvāja (Droṇa), as if with a faint smile.

english translation

This heroic son of Pāṇḍu, powerful and accompanied by Kṛṣṇa, is acting upon the armies exactly as Dhanaṃjaya would act.

english translation

Truly, this one cannot be overcome today in battle by any means, for his form is seen as comparable to Kāla, Antaka, and Yama.

english translation

Nor can this vast host be turned back; behold—through exchanged glances and shared dread—the battle-formation is breaking apart and dispersing.

english translation

And the radiant sun draws toward setting behind the foremost of mountains, as though wholly withdrawing the visible forms of all the worlds.
