शरैरेकायनीकुर्वन्दिशः सर्वा यतव्रतः । जघान पाण्डवरथानादिश्यादिश्य भारत॥६-४५-६१॥
With his arrows he made all directions converge into a single course; disciplined in his vow, he struck the Pāṇḍava chariots again and again, repeatedly indicating his targets, O Bhārata.
english translation
ततः सैन्येषु भग्नेषु मथितेषु च सर्वशः । प्राप्ते चास्तं दिनकरे न प्राज्ञायत किंचन॥६-४५-६२॥
Then, as the armies were shattered and thrown into confusion on every side, and as the sun went down, nothing could be clearly ascertained.

भीष्मं च समुदीर्यन्तं दृष्ट्वा पार्था महाहवे । अवहारमकुर्वन्त सैन्यानां भरतर्षभ॥६-४५-६३॥
Seeing Bhīṣma advancing with force in the great engagement, the sons of Pṛthā ordered a withdrawal of their forces, O bull among the Bharatas.
