Neither the sun illumines that, nor the moon, nor fire. Having gone there, they do not return; that is my supreme abode.

english translation

An eternal portion of Mine becomes the living being in the world of embodied life; established in Prakṛti, it draws to itself the senses—six in number, with the mind as the sixth.

english translation

When the indwelling Lord obtains a body, and also when it departs, it goes forth taking these (senses and mind) along—just as the wind carries fragrances from their source.

english translation

Presiding over the ear, the eye, touch, taste, and smell—and also the mind—this embodied self engages with sense-objects.

english translation

The deluded do not perceive it—whether departing, remaining, or experiencing (the world) in association with the guṇas; those who possess the eye of knowledge perceive it.
