And these sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, all together with the assemblies of kings—Bhīṣma, Droṇa, and that son of a charioteer as well—along with our own foremost warriors too,

english translation

They hasten into your mouths—terrifying, with formidable fangs. Some are seen caught between the teeth, with their heads crushed.

english translation

As the many swift currents of rivers flow toward the ocean alone, so these heroes of the human world enter your mouths, blazing on all sides.

english translation

As moths, with intensified momentum, enter a blazing fire for their own destruction, so too do beings enter your mouths for dissolution, with intensified momentum.

english translation

You lick repeatedly, consuming all beings on every side with your blazing mouths. Filling the entire universe with radiance, your fierce splendors scorch it, O Viṣṇu.
