ते तं भुक्त्वा स्वर्गलोकं विशालं क्षीणे पुण्ये मर्त्यलोकं विशन्ति । एवं त्रयीधर्ममनुप्रपन्ना गतागतं कामकामा लभन्ते॥६-३१-२१॥
After enjoying that vast heavenly realm, when their merit is exhausted they enter the mortal world again. Thus, those who follow the Vedic triad of rites obtain repeated coming and going, driven by desire for desired objects.
english translation
अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जनाः पर्युपासते । तेषां नित्याभियुक्तानां योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम्॥६-३१-२२॥
Those persons who, thinking of Me alone, constantly worship Me—of those who are perpetually disciplined, I secure both acquisition and protection (yoga and kṣema).
english translation
येऽप्यन्यदेवता भक्ता यजन्ते श्रद्धयान्विताः । तेऽपि मामेव कौन्तेय यजन्त्यविधिपूर्वकम्॥६-३१-२३॥
Even those who are devoted to other deities and worship them with faith—those too worship Me alone, O son of Kuntī, but not in accordance with the proper principle.
english translation
अहं हि सर्वयज्ञानां भोक्ता च प्रभुरेव च । न तु मामभिजानन्ति तत्त्वेनातश्च्यवन्ति ते॥६-३१-२४॥
For I am indeed the enjoyer and the sovereign Lord of all sacrifices; yet they do not know Me in truth—therefore they fall away.
english translation
यान्ति देवव्रता देवान्पितॄन्यान्ति पितृव्रताः । भूतानि यान्ति भूतेज्या यान्ति मद्याजिनोऽपि माम्॥६-३१-२५॥
Those devoted to the gods go to the gods; those devoted to the ancestors go to the ancestors. Those who worship elemental beings go to those beings; and those who worship Me go to Me.
