बलं बलवतां चाहं कामरागविवर्जितम् । धर्माविरुद्धो भूतेषु कामोऽस्मि भरतर्षभ॥६-२९-११॥
I am the strength of the strong, free from desire and attachment. And among beings, O best of the Bharatas, I am desire that is not opposed to dharma.
english translation
ये चैव सात्त्विका भावा राजसास्तामसाश्च ये । मत्त एवेति तान्विद्धि न त्वहं तेषु ते मयि॥६-२९-१२॥
Whatever states are sāttvika, rājasika, or tāmasika—know them all to arise from Me alone. Yet I am not contained in them; rather, they are contained in Me.
english translation
त्रिभिर्गुणमयैर्भावैरेभिः सर्वमिदं जगत् । मोहितं नाभिजानाति मामेभ्यः परमव्ययम्॥६-२९-१३॥
This entire world is deluded by these states constituted of the three guṇas, and therefore it does not recognize Me as transcendent to them and imperishable.
english translation
दैवी ह्येषा गुणमयी मम माया दुरत्यया । मामेव ये प्रपद्यन्ते मायामेतां तरन्ति ते॥६-२९-१४॥
For this māyā of Mine, constituted of the guṇas, is divine and difficult to cross. Those who take refuge in Me alone cross over this māyā.
english translation
न मां दुष्कृतिनो मूढाः प्रपद्यन्ते नराधमाः । माययापहृतज्ञाना आसुरं भावमाश्रिताः॥६-२९-१५॥
Those who act wrongly, the deluded, the morally degraded—whose discernment has been taken away by māyā—do not take refuge in Me, having adopted an āsuric disposition.
