Support the devas through this, and let the devas support you. Thus mutually sustaining one another, you shall attain the highest good.

english translation

For the devas, nourished by yajña, will grant you desired enjoyments. One who consumes what is given by them without offering in return is indeed a thief.

english translation

The virtuous who eat what remains after yajña are freed from all moral taints. But those who prepare food only for themselves—those sinners partake of wrongdoing.

english translation

Beings arise from food; food arises from rain; rain arises from yajña; and yajña arises from action.

english translation

Know action to arise from Brahman; Brahman arises from the Imperishable (akṣara). Therefore the all-pervading Brahman is eternally established in yajña.
