One who knows this Self to be indestructible, eternal, unborn, and unchanging—how can that person, O Pārtha, cause anyone to be struck down, or regard anyone as struck down?

english translation

As a person discards worn-out garments and takes up other new ones, so the embodied Self discards worn-out bodies and enters into other new ones.

english translation

Weapons do not cut it; fire does not burn it; waters do not wet it; wind does not dry it.

english translation

It is uncuttable, unburnable, unwettable, and undryable. It is eternal, all-pervading, stable, immovable, and timeless.

english translation

It is said to be unmanifest, inconceivable, and unchanging. Therefore, knowing it thus, you ought not to grieve.
