Of what is unreal, there is no enduring existence; of what is real, there is no non-existence. The boundary (truth) of both has been seen by those who perceive reality.
english translation
Know that to be imperishable by which all this is pervaded. No one is capable of bringing about the destruction of this immutable reality.
english translation
These bodies are said to have an end, while the embodied self is declared eternal—indestructible and immeasurable. Therefore, engage in your duty, O Bhārata.
english translation
Whoever thinks of this (self) as the agent who destroys, and whoever thinks of it as destroyed—both do not understand. This (self) neither destroys nor is destroyed.
english translation
It is not born, nor does it die at any time; having been, it does not again come to be. Unborn, eternal, enduring, and ancient, it is not destroyed when the body is destroyed.
