Then Arjuna, the subduer of foes, addressed Yudhiṣṭhira, seeing, O king, your army sunk in dejection.

english translation

By what means a smaller force may overcome many heroes, superior and endowed with virtues—know that, O lord of the people.

english translation

But I will explain to you the reason for that, O king, without malice. The sage Nārada knows it, as do Bhīṣma and Droṇa, O Pāṇḍava.

english translation

Relying on this very principle, in the ancient conflict between the Devas and Asuras, the Grandsire once addressed the celestial beings, beginning with Mahendra (Indra).

english translation

Those who seek victory do not prevail so much by strength and prowess as by truthfulness and non-cruelty—by dharma itself and by disciplined effort.
