How did the sons of Pāṇḍu bring down Śāṃtanava, my dear one—him who was striking down battle-formations, possessed of martial dignity, and seemingly unconquered?

english translation

How were the formations arranged? How did the engagement proceed among the great-souled warriors? And how, O Sañjaya, was Bhīṣma—my father—brought down by the opposing side?

english translation

And what did Duryodhana, Karṇa, Śakuni Saubala, and Duḥśāsana—the gambler—say when Bhīṣma had been brought down?
