परिरक्ष्य स सेनां ते दशरात्रमनीकहा । जगामास्तमिवादित्यः कृत्वा कर्म सुदुष्करम्॥६-१४-११॥
Having protected your army for ten nights, that commander of divisions withdrew like the setting sun, after accomplishing an exceptionally difficult martial task.

यः स शक्र इवाक्षोभ्यो वर्षन्बाणान्सहस्रशः । जघान युधि योधानामर्बुदं दशभिर्दिनैः॥६-१४-१२॥
Steady and unshaken like Śakra, he rained down arrows by the thousand and, in battle, brought down an arbuda of warriors within ten days.
english translation
स शेते निष्टनन्भूमौ वातरुग्ण इव द्रुमः । तव दुर्मन्त्रिते राजन्यथा नार्हः स भारत॥६-१४-१३॥
He lies upon the ground, groaning, like a tree broken by the wind—an end, O king, born of your ill counsel, unworthy to have come to pass, O Bhārata.
