Indigestion, overeating, consumption of incompatible or unclean food, lack of physical exercise, daytime sleep, heavy, fatty, and cold foods—these are the causes that aggravate the conditions.

Excessive consumption of Masha (pulse), cakes, Vidala (cereals), Shaluka (lotus bulb), Kasheruka (pot-herbs), Sura (wine), Shukta (fermented rice gruel), curd, milk, treacle, and sugar are some of the factors that aggravate the condition.

माशा (दाल), केक, विदला (अनाज), शालुका (कमल का फूल), कशेरूका (जड़ी-बूटी), सुरा (शराब), शुक्त (किण्वित चावल का दलिया), दही, दूध, गुड़ और चीनी का अत्यधिक सेवन कुछ ऐसे कारक हैं जो इस स्थिति को बढ़ाते हैं।

The consumption of Palala (dried corn plants), Anupa (aquatic animals) flesh, Pishita (flesh of birds), Pinyaka (oil cakes), Prithuka (chipitaka), and other similar articles, along with sweet, sour, and liquid drinks, aggravates the Kapha and Pitta doshas.
