शुष्कास्यता मारुतसम्भवायां तोदस्तथा शङ्खशिरःसु चापि । स्रोतोनिरोधो विरसं च वक्त्रं शीताभिरद्भिश्च विवृद्धिमेति ॥८॥

The symptoms of thirst caused by Vata (Vataja Thirst) include dryness and roughness in the mouth, lips, and throat, with a tingling or burning sensation. There is also an obstruction of the water-carrying channels in the body, leading to a bad taste in the mouth. The condition may worsen with the consumption of cold water, leading to an aggravation of the symptoms. These manifestations are further accompanied by a feeling of heaviness, discomfort, and sometimes delirium.

वात (वातज प्यास) के कारण होने वाली प्यास के लक्षणों में मुंह, होंठ और गले में सूखापन और खुरदरापन, झुनझुनी या जलन की अनुभूति शामिल है। शरीर में पानी ले जाने वाले चैनलों में भी रुकावट होती है, जिससे मुंह का स्वाद खराब हो जाता है। ठंडा पानी पीने से स्थिति और खराब हो सकती है, जिससे लक्षण और भी बढ़ सकते हैं। इन लक्षणों के साथ भारीपन, बेचैनी और कभी-कभी प्रलाप की भावना भी होती है।
