व्यवायमम्लं लवणानि मद्यं मृदं दिवास्वप्नमतीव तीक्ष्णम् । निषेवमाणस्य विदूष्य रक्तं कुर्वन्ति दोषास्त्वचि पाण्डुभावम् ॥३॥
Excessive sexual activity, sour substances, salty foods, liquor, sleeping in the day, and extremely sharp or pungent foods, when indulged in by a person, cause the Doshas (bodily humors) to become vitiated and contaminate the blood, leading to a yellowish discoloration of the skin.
english translation
अत्यधिक यौन क्रियाकलाप, खट्टे पदार्थ, नमकीन भोजन, शराब, दिन में सोना, तथा बहुत तीखे या तीखे भोजन का सेवन करने से व्यक्ति के शरीर के दोष खराब हो जाते हैं तथा रक्त दूषित हो जाता है, जिससे त्वचा का रंग पीला पड़ जाता है।
