hk transliteration by Sanscriptव्यवायमम्लं लवणानि मद्यं मृदं दिवास्वप्नमतीव तीक्ष्णम् । निषेवमाणस्य विदूष्य रक्तं कुर्वन्ति दोषास्त्वचि पाण्डुभावम् ॥३॥
Excessive sexual activity, sour substances, salty foods, liquor, sleeping in the day, and extremely sharp or pungent foods, when indulged in by a person, cause the Doshas (bodily humors) to become vitiated and contaminate the blood, leading to a yellowish discoloration of the skin.

अत्यधिक यौन क्रियाकलाप, खट्टे पदार्थ, नमकीन भोजन, शराब, दिन में सोना, तथा बहुत तीखे या तीखे भोजन का सेवन करने से व्यक्ति के शरीर के दोष खराब हो जाते हैं तथा रक्त दूषित हो जाता है, जिससे त्वचा का रंग पीला पड़ जाता है।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपाण्ड्वामयोऽष्टार्धविधः प्रदिष्टः पृथक्समस्तैर्युगपच्च दोषैः । सर्वेषु चैतेष्विह पाण्डुभावो यतोऽधिकोऽतः खलु पाण्डुरोगः ॥४॥
The disease called Pandu is classified into four types, each caused by the vitiation of one or more of the Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) acting individually or simultaneously. Among these, the condition in which the yellowish discoloration of the skin is most prominent is known as Pandu-roga.

पांडु नामक रोग को चार प्रकारों में वर्गीकृत किया गया है, जिनमें से प्रत्येक दोष (वात, पित्त, कफ) में से एक या अधिक के बिगड़ने से या एक साथ होने से होता है। इनमें से, वह स्थिति जिसमें त्वचा का रंग पीलापन सबसे अधिक होता है, उसे पांडु-रोग कहते हैं।

The symptoms of Pandu-roga include cracking of the skin, a sensation of heaviness or swelling in the body, excessive consumption of soft or improper food, pain around the joints, and changes in the urine (which may become dark or turbid). These signs are followed by further complications like impaired digestion, and the progression of the disease may lead to other distressing symptoms.

पांडु रोग के लक्षणों में त्वचा का फटना, शरीर में भारीपन या सूजन की अनुभूति, नरम या अनुचित भोजन का अत्यधिक सेवन, जोड़ों के आसपास दर्द और मूत्र में परिवर्तन (जो गहरा या मैला हो सकता है) शामिल हैं। इन लक्षणों के बाद पाचन में कमी जैसी अन्य जटिलताएँ होती हैं और रोग के बढ़ने से अन्य परेशान करने वाले लक्षण हो सकते हैं।
