अथातो हृद्रोगप्रतिषेधं व्याख्यास्यामः ॥१॥
Now we shall discourse on the chapter which deals with the (symptoms and) medical treatment of the disease of the heart.

Consuming excessively hot, dry, and stimulating foods, as well as incompatible, poorly digested, or unwholesome foods, the bodily Rasa (lymph chyle) becomes contaminated, leading to the development of heart disease.

अत्यधिक गर्म, शुष्क और उत्तेजक खाद्य पदार्थों के साथ-साथ असंगत, खराब पचने वाले या अस्वस्थ खाद्य पदार्थों का सेवन करने से, शारीरिक रस (लिम्फ चाइल) दूषित हो जाता है, जिससे हृदय रोग विकसित होता है।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptदूषयित्वा रसं दोषा विगुणा हृदयं गताः । कुर्वन्ति हृदये बाधां हृद्रोगं तं प्रचक्षते ॥४॥
The doshas, having contaminated the Rasa (lymph chyle), enter the heart and cause disturbance, resulting in obstruction in the heart. This condition is known as Hridroga (heart disease).

रस (लिम्फ चाइल) को दूषित करके दोष हृदय में प्रवेश करते हैं और गड़बड़ी पैदा करते हैं, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप हृदय में रुकावट पैदा होती है। इस स्थिति को हृदयरोग (हृदय रोग) के रूप में जाना जाता है।

dUSayitvA rasaM doSA viguNA hRdayaM gatAH । kurvanti hRdaye bAdhAM hRdrogaM taM pracakSate ॥4॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचतुर्विधः स दोषैः स्यात् कृमिभिश्च पृथक् पृथक् । लक्षणं तस्य वक्ष्यामि चिकित्सितमनन्तरम् ॥५॥
The disease (Hridroga) can occur due to four types of doshas, each of which is distinct, as well as due to the presence of worms. I will now describe its characteristics and the treatment that follows.
