स्वेदज्वराहारविदाहदाहास्तृष्णाऽङ्गरागः कटुवक्त्रता च | पित्तस्य लिङ्गान्यखिलानि यानि पित्तात्मके तानि भवन्ति गुल्मे ||११||

स्तैमित्यमन्नेऽरुचिरङ्गसादश्छर्दिः प्रसेको मधुरास्यता च | कफस्य लिङ्गानि च यानि तानि भवन्ति गुल्मे कफसम्भवे तु ||१२||

The symptoms of Gulma caused by the deranged Kapha include loss of appetite, heaviness in the body, indigestion, vomiting, and excessive salivation. These signs indicate the disturbances associated with Kapha, which manifest in the condition of Gulma.

सर्वात्मकः सर्वविकारयुक्तः सोऽसाध्य उक्तः, ... | ... क्षतजं प्रवक्ष्ये | नवप्रसूताऽहितभोजना या या चामगर्भं विसृजेदृतौ वा ||१३||

One who is affected by all the bodily constituents and various disorders is considered to be incurable, as I shall explain. Injuries caused by certain actions, or improper food intake, especially during pregnancy or postpartum, can lead to severe complications.

वायुर्हि तस्याः परिगृह्य रक्तं करोति गुल्मं सरुजं सदाहम् | पैत्तस्य लिङ्गेन समानलिङ्गं विशेषणं चाप्यपरं निबोध ||१४||

The wind, by causing an imbalance in the blood, produces a painful and constant swelling, known as Gulma. The symptoms of Pitta (bile) are similar to those of Vata, but with a distinct aggravation. Pay attention to this specific distinction.

न स्पन्दते नोदरमेति वृद्धिं भवन्ति लिङ्गानि च गर्भिणीनाम् | तं गर्भकालातिगमे चिकित्स्यमसृग्भवं गुल्ममुशन्ति तज्ज्ञाः ||१५||

It does not pulsate, nor does it cause any internal movement, but it increases in size, and the symptoms of pregnant women are similar. In such cases, when the pregnancy period exceeds its normal term, it is treated by those knowledgeable about the condition of blood-related Gulma.

इसमें स्पंदन नहीं होता, न ही इसमें कोई आंतरिक हलचल होती है, बल्कि इसका आकार बढ़ता है, तथा इसके लक्षण गर्भवती महिलाओं के समान होते हैं। ऐसे मामलों में, जब गर्भावस्था की अवधि अपनी सामान्य अवधि से अधिक हो जाती है, तो रक्त संबंधी गुल्म की स्थिति के जानकार लोगों द्वारा इसका उपचार किया जाता है।
