तमःप्रवेशनं हिक्का कासः शैत्यं वमिस्तथा । अन्तर्दाहो महाश्वासो मर्मच्छेदश्च मज्जगे । मरणं प्राप्नुयात्तत्र शुक्रस्थानगते ज्वरे ॥८८॥
In this type of fever, there is an obstruction in the throat, cough, cold, vomiting, internal burning, severe breathlessness, and pain at vital points. When the disease reaches the marrow, it may lead to death, particularly in fevers associated with the sexual organs.

इस प्रकार के बुखार में गले में रुकावट, खांसी, जुकाम, उल्टी, अंदरूनी जलन, सांस लेने में बहुत तकलीफ और महत्वपूर्ण बिंदुओं पर दर्द होता है। जब रोग अस्थि मज्जा तक पहुंच जाता है, तो यह मृत्यु का कारण बन सकता है, खासकर यौन अंगों से जुड़े बुखार में।
