उपद्रवास्तु व्रणिनः कृच्छ्रसाध्याः प्रकीर्तिताः । प्रक्षीणबलमांसस्य शेषधातुपरिक्षयात् ॥६॥
The complications of a wound are said to be difficult to treat, arising from the depletion of strength and the exhaustion of the remaining tissues.

Having heard their words, the best of physicians said: In the beginning, I will describe fever, which is remembered as the cause of diseases.

Born from the wrath of Rudra, blazing with fire, He who scorches all beings is called by various names, and is described by different terms for other beings.

रुद्र के क्रोध से उत्पन्न, अग्नि से प्रज्वलित, वह जो सभी प्राणियों को जलाता है, विभिन्न नामों से पुकारा जाता है, तथा अन्य प्राणियों के लिए भिन्न-भिन्न शब्दों से वर्णित किया जाता है।
