पैत्तिके मधुरैस्तिक्तैः सिद्धं सर्पिश्च पूज्यते | श्लैष्मिके कटुतिक्तैश्च, संसृष्टानीतरेषु च ||३१७||

For Pitta disorders, preparations made with sweet and bitter ingredients are considered effective, and they are revered and used in treatment. For Kapha disorders, those made with bitter and pungent substances are beneficial, and in other types of conditions, mixtures of various ingredients may be employed accordingly.

पित्त विकारों के लिए, मीठे और कड़वे पदार्थों से बनी औषधियाँ प्रभावी मानी जाती हैं, और उन्हें पूजनीय माना जाता है तथा उपचार में उनका उपयोग किया जाता है। कफ विकारों के लिए, कड़वे और तीखे पदार्थों से बनी औषधियाँ लाभदायक होती हैं, तथा अन्य प्रकार की स्थितियों में, विभिन्न सामग्रियों के मिश्रण का उपयोग तदनुसार किया जा सकता है।

हृतावशेषं पित्तं तु त्वक्स्थं जनयति ज्वरम् | पिबेदिक्षुरसं तत्र शीतं वा शर्करोदकम् ||३१८||

The remaining Pitta, located in the heart, causes fever. To alleviate this, one should drink sugarcane juice or cold water mixed with sugar.

हृदय में स्थित शेष पित्त ज्वर उत्पन्न करता है। इसे दूर करने के लिए गन्ने का रस या चीनी मिला ठंडा पानी पीना चाहिए।

शालिषष्टिकयोरन्नमश्नीयात् क्षीरसम्प्लुतम् | कफवातोत्थयोरेव स्वेदाभ्यङ्गौ प्रयोजयेत् ||३१९||

One should consume rice mixed with milk (Shali or Sasti rice) to treat conditions arising from an excess of Kapha and Vata. Sweating and oil massage should be used as treatments for these imbalances.

कफ और वात की अधिकता से उत्पन्न होने वाली स्थितियों के उपचार के लिए दूध (शाली या सास्ती चावल) में चावल मिलाकर खाना चाहिए। इन असंतुलनों के उपचार के लिए पसीना और तेल मालिश का उपयोग किया जाना चाहिए।

घृतं द्वादशरात्रात्तु देयं सर्वज्वरेषु च | तेनान्तरेणाशयं स्वं गता दोषा भवन्ति हि ||३२०||

Ghee should be given for twelve nights in all types of fevers. By this, the doshas (imbalances) in the body are brought under control, and the root cause of the disease is corrected.

सभी प्रकार के ज्वर में बारह रात्रि तक घी देना चाहिए। इससे शरीर के दोष (असंतुलन) नियंत्रित हो जाते हैं तथा रोग का मूल कारण ठीक हो जाता है।
