Sushruta Samhita
दशमूलीकषायेण मागधीर्वा प्रयोजयेत् । पिप्पलीवर्धमानं वा पिबेत् क्षीररसाशनः ॥२१६॥
The verse suggests the use of a decoction of Dashamūlī (a combination of ten roots) or Māgadī (a medicinal preparation) for treating fever. इस श्लोक में बुखार के इलाज के लिए दशमूली (दस जड़ों का मिश्रण) या मागदी (औषधि) के काढ़े के इस्तेमाल का सुझाव दिया गया है। इसमें पिप्पली (लंबी मिर्च) या पिप्पली के साथ दूध पीने की भी सलाह दी गई है, क्योंकि ऐसा माना जाता है कि यह पाचन को उत्तेजित करता है और बुखार के प्रभावों से लड़ने में मदद करता है।
