ऐसी स्थिति में जहां वायु ऊपर चढ़ गई हो और मूत्र तथा मल में अवरोध उत्पन्न कर दिया हो, वहां वायु की ऊपर की ओर गति के कारण उत्पन्न अवरोध को दूर करने के लिए अम्लपित्त (किण्वित पदार्थ) जैसे खट्टे और गर्म पदार्थों का उपयोग करते हुए, गुदा में औषधीय बत्ती (या प्लग) डालना चाहिए।
