नैगमेषस्तु पार्वत्या सृष्टो मेषाननो ग्रहाः | कुमारधारी देवस्य गुहस्यात्मसमः सखा ||६||

The Naigamesha Graha, who has the face of a sheep, was created by the goddess Parvati as a companion and protector of the young god Guha, who is as dear to him as his own self.

The Graha known as Skandapasmara, who is associated with the disease bearing his name, was created by Agni, the fire-god, and is as radiant as fire itself. He is also known by the name Vishakha and is a constant companion of Skanda.

Skanda, the Graha associated with this disease, was created by the blessed deity, the destroyer of Tripura (Mahadeva). He bears the name Kumara, signifying his nature as a child, and is known for his supreme prowess.

This deity, who is fond of the playful activities of childhood, is born of Rudra and Agni. The blessed god does not engage in wrongful actions himself, and it is stated that such a disease does not arise from him through any mischievousness or fault of his own.
