पुरीषं कौक्कुटं केशांश्चर्म सर्पत्वचं तथा । जीर्णां च भिक्षुसङ्घाटीं धूमनायोपकल्पयेत् ॥६॥

The feces of a cock, its feathers, the skin of a snake, and the ragged garment of a monk should be used for fumigating the body.

शरीर को धूम्र करने के लिए मुर्गे का मल, उसके पंख, साँप की खाल और साधु के फटे हुए वस्त्र का उपयोग करना चाहिए।

कुक्कुटीं मर्कटीं शिम्बीमनन्तां चापि धारयेत् । मांसमामं तथा पक्वं शोणितं च चतुष्पथे ॥७॥

The child should wear (as a charm) Kukkuti, Markati, Shimbi, and Ananta, and meat, both cooked and raw, as well as blood, should be offered at the crossing of roads.

बच्चे को कुक्कुटी, मर्कटी, शिम्बी और अनंता (ताबीज के रूप में) पहनाना चाहिए तथा सड़क के चौराहों पर पका हुआ और कच्चा मांस, तथा रक्त भी अर्पित करना चाहिए।

निवेद्यमन्तश्च गृहे शिशो रक्षानिमित्ततः । शिशोश्च स्नपनं कुर्यात् सर्वगन्धोदकैः शुभैः ॥८॥

Offerings should be made inside the house for the protection of the child, and the child should be bathed with the auspicious waters of all the fragrant substances.

english translation

बच्चे की रक्षा के लिए घर के अन्दर तर्पण करना चाहिए तथा बच्चे को सभी सुगंधित द्रव्यों के शुभ जल से स्नान कराना चाहिए।

कराला पिङ्गला मुण्डा कषायाम्बरवासिनी । देवी बालमिमं प्रीता संरक्षत्वन्धपूतना ॥९॥

The goddess, dreadful, yellowish, and bald-headed, wearing a robe of red, is pleased to protect this child from Andha-putana.

भयानक, पीले रंग की, गंजे सिर वाली, लाल वस्त्र पहने देवी इस बालक को अंध-पूतना से बचाने के लिए प्रसन्न हैं।
