क्षयकासापहं चात्र सर्पिः पथ्यतमं विदुः । कृमिभिर्भक्ष्यमाणस्य वक्ष्यते शिरसः क्रिया ॥२६॥
Clarified butter (sarpī) is considered the most appropriate remedy for Kshaya (wasting diseases) and Kasa (cough), according to experts. For a person infested with parasites, the treatment for the head will be discussed next.

The patient should be made to inhale blood through nasal administration (Nasya). The parasites, attracted by the smell of the blood, will move towards the nostrils and can then be extracted.

The parasites should be extracted, and then head-purgatives (Mūrdhavi-rechana) should be administered. This can be done using seeds of small Shigru (Moringa) mixed with Kansya (brass) and Nili (indigo).
