निवातशय्यासनचेष्टनानि मूर्ध्नो गुरूष्णं च तथैव वासः | तीक्ष्णा विरेकाः शिरसः सधूमा रूक्षं यवान्नं विजया च सेव्या ||२१||

The patient suffering from catarrh (Pratishyaya) should rest in a quiet, windless place, avoid excessive heat on the head, and engage in gentle movements. Sharp purgations, smoke inhalation, and a diet consisting of rough, dry foods and Vijaya (Haritaki) should be prescribed.
