घ्राणं वृणोतीव तदा स रोगो नासाप्रतीनाह इति प्रदिष्टः । अजस्रमच्छं सलिलप्रकाशं यस्याविवर्णं स्रवतीह नासा ॥१६॥

This disease is called Nasa-Pratinaha (obstruction in the nose), in which the nose seems to be obstructed or blocked, with a constant watery discharge that is colorless and clear, flowing from the nostrils.

रात्रौ विशेषेण हि तं विकारं नासापरिस्रावमिति व्यवस्येत् । घ्राणाश्रिते श्लेष्मणि मारुतेन पित्तेन गाढं परिशोषिते च ॥१७॥

The condition of Nasa-Parishosha (nasal dryness) is described as a difficult breathing pattern, with both upward and downward flow being obstructed. This condition is caused by the separate action of the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), and it is similar to the conditions of Arshas (hemorrhoids) and swelling.

(नासास्रोतोगता रोगास्त्रिंशदेकश्च कीर्तिताः । स्रोतःपथे यद्विपुलं कोशवच्चार्बुदं भवेत् ) ॥२०॥

Diseases affecting the nasal passages are described as thirty-one in number. When the passageway becomes obstructed and swollen like a large mass or tumor, it is considered to be an Arbudha (tumor) affecting the nasal tract.
