पक्वः शोफः सन्धिजः संस्रवेद्यः सान्द्रं पूयं पूति पूयालसः सः । ग्रन्थिर्नाल्पो दृष्टिसन्धावपाकः कण्डूप्रायो नीरुजस्तूपनाहः ॥४॥

A ripened (suppurated) swelling arising at a joint (Sandhi) of the eye, discharging thick and fetid pus, is called Puyalasa. A painless, large cyst (Granthi) at the union of the pupil (with the Krishna-mandala), marked primarily by itching and minimal suppuration, is known as Upanaha.

english translation

आँख के जोड़ (संधि) पर उत्पन्न होने वाली पकी हुई (पकी हुई) सूजन, जिसमें से गाढ़ा और बदबूदार मवाद निकलता है, को पुयलासा कहते हैं। पुतली (कृष्ण-मंडल के साथ) के मिलन पर एक दर्द रहित, बड़ी पुटी (ग्रंथि), जिसमें मुख्य रूप से खुजली और कम से कम मवाद होता है, को उपनाहा कहते हैं।
