अथातः क्रियाकल्पं व्याख्यास्यामः ॥१॥
Now we shall discourse on the Chapter which treats of the preparations and uses of the medicinal measures (external applications) to be adopted or employed in treating ocular affections in general.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंशुद्धदेहशिरसो जीर्णान्नस्य शुभे दिने । पूर्वाह्णे वाऽपराह्णे वा कार्यमक्ष्णोस्तु तर्पणम् ॥५॥
On an auspicious day, in the morning or afternoon, Tarpana should be performed for the eyes of a person with a purified body and head.

किसी शुभ दिन, प्रातः अथवा दोपहर के समय, शुद्ध शरीर और सिर वाले व्यक्ति की आंखों के लिए तर्पण करना चाहिए।
