One should avoid climbing trees, mountains, or steep cliffs, as well as deep wells or rivers where the currents are strong and tumultuous. It is essential to stay away from deserted houses, cremation grounds, or forests filled with danger and confusion, as well as from wild animals, snakes, and insects. One should also refrain from conflicts in villages, the presence of weapons, and encounters with fierce creatures.

किसी को पेड़ों, पहाड़ों, या खड़ी चट्टानों, साथ ही गहरे कुओं या नदियों पर चढ़ने से बचना चाहिए जहाँ धाराएँ तेज़ और उथल-पुथल वाली हों। सूने घरों, श्मशान घाटों या खतरे और भ्रम से भरे जंगलों के साथ-साथ जंगली जानवरों, सांपों और कीड़ों से भी दूर रहना जरूरी है। व्यक्ति को गांवों में संघर्ष, हथियारों की उपस्थिति और भयंकर प्राणियों से मुठभेड़ से भी बचना चाहिए।

नाग्निगोगुरुब्राह्मणप्रेङ्खादम्पत्यन्तरेण यायात् । न शवमनुयायात् । देवगोब्राह्मणचैत्यध्वजरोगिपतितपापकारिणां च छायां नाक्रमेत । नास्तं गच्छन्तमुद्यन्तं वाऽऽदित्यं वीक्षेत । गां धापयन्तीं धयन्तीं परशस्यं वा चरन्तीं न कस्मैचिदाचक्षीत, न चोल्कापातोत्पातेन्द्रधनूंषि । नाग्निं मुखेनोपधमेत् । नापो भूमिं वा पाणिपादेनाभिहन्यात् ॥९२॥
One should not walk between the fire, the guru, the Brahman, or a couple; nor should one follow a corpse. One should not approach the shadow of a deity, a cow, a Brahman, a stupa, a sick person, or one who has committed sins. One should not gaze at the setting or rising sun. One should not speak about a cow that is grazing or wandering, nor should one mention the falling of a meteor. One should not approach the fire with the mouth, nor strike the earth with the hands or feet.

न वेगान् धारयेद् वातमूत्रपुरीषादीनाम् । न बहिर्वेगान् ग्रामनगरदेवतायतनश्मशानचतुष्पथसलिलाशयपथि सन्निकृष्टानुत्सृजेन्न प्रकाशं न वाय्वग्निसलिलसोमार्कगोगुरुप्रतिमुखम् ॥९३॥
One should not hold back the natural urges related to wind, urine, and feces. One should not release these urges in places near villages, towns, deities, temples, cremation grounds, crossroads, water bodies, or any path. One should not discharge these urges in the presence of wind, fire, water, the moon, the sun, or in front of a guru or any sacred figure.

One should not write on the ground, nor should one release loud noises or deep breaths in a gathering with a covered mouth. One should not stretch out the legs of a bed or perform any acts of obstruction in the presence of a guru.
