सुरुचिस्तं समुत्थाप्य पादावनतमर्भकम् । परिष्वज्याह जीवेति बाष्पगद्गदया गिरा ।। ४-९-४६ ।।

sanskrit

Suruci, the younger mother of Dhruva Mahārāja, seeing that the innocent boy had fallen at her feet, immediately picked him up, embracing him with her hands, and with tears of feeling she blessed him with the words “My dear boy, long may you live!” ।। 4-9-46 ।।

english translation

ध्रुव महाराज की छोटी माता सुरुचि ने यह देखकर कि निर्दोष बालक उसके चरणों पर नत है, उसे तुरन्त उठा लिया, अपनी बाँहों में भर लिया और अश्रुपूर्ण गद्गद वाणी से आशीर्वाद दिया कि मेरे बालक, चिरञ्जीवी हो। ।। ४-९-४६ ।।

यस्य प्रसन्नो भगवान् गुणैर्मैत्र्यादिभिर्हरिः । तस्मै नमन्ति भूतानि निम्नमाप इव स्वयम् ।। ४-९-४७ ।।

sanskrit

Unto one who has transcendental qualities due to friendly behavior with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, all living entities offer honor, just as water automatically flows down by nature. ।। 4-9-47 ।।

english translation

जिस प्रकार स्वभावगत रूप से जल स्वत: नीचे की ओर बहता है, उसी प्रकार श्रीभगवान् के साथ मैत्रीपूर्ण आचरण के कारण दिव्य गुणों वाले व्यक्ति को सभी जीवात्माएँ मस्तक झुकाती हैं। ।। ४-९-४७ ।।

उत्तमश्च ध्रुवश्चोभावन्योन्यं प्रेमविह्वलौ । अङ्गसङ्गादुत्पुलकावस्रौघं मुहुरूहतुः ।। ४-९-४८ ।।

sanskrit

The two brothers Uttama and Dhruva Mahārāja also exchanged their tears. They were overwhelmed by the ecstasy of love and affection, and when they embraced one another, the hair on their bodies stood up. ।। 4-9-48 ।।

english translation

उत्तम तथा ध्रुव महाराज दोनों भाइयों ने परस्पर अश्रुओं का आदान-प्रदान किया। वे स्नेह की अनुभूति से विभोर हो उठे और जब उन्होंने एक दूसरे का आलिंगन किया, तो उन्हें रोमांच हो आया। ।। ४-९-४८ ।।

सुनीतिरस्य जननी प्राणेभ्योऽपि प्रियं सुतम् । उपगुह्य जहावाधिं तदङ्गस्पर्शनिर्वृता ।। ४-९-४९ ।।

sanskrit

Sunīti, the real mother of Dhruva Mahārāja, embraced the tender body of her son, who was dearer to her than her own life, and thus forgot all material grief, for she was very pleased. ।। 4-9-49 ।।

english translation

ध्रुव महाराज की असली माता सुनीति ने अपने पुत्र के कोमल शरीर को गले लगा लिया, क्योंकि वह उसे अपने प्राणों से भी अधिक प्यारा था। इस प्रकार वह सारा भौतिक शोक भूल गई, क्योंकि वह परम प्रसन्न थी। ।। ४-९-४९ ।।

पयः स्तनाभ्यां सुस्राव नेत्रजैः सलिलैः शिवैः । तदाभिषिच्यमानाभ्यां वीर वीरसुवो मुहुः ।। ४-९-५० ।।

My dear Vidura, Sunīti was the mother of a great hero. Her tears, together with the milk flowing from her breasts, wet the whole body of Dhruva Mahārāja. This was a great, auspicious sign. ।। 4-9-50 ।।

english translation

हे विदुर, सुनीति एक वीर की माता थी। उसके अश्रुओं ने उसके स्तनों से बहनेवाले दूध की धारा के साथ मिलकर ध्रुव महाराज के सार शरीर को भिगो दिया। यह परम मांगलिक लक्षण था। ।। ४-९-५० ।।
