सुनीतिः सुरुचिश्चास्य महिष्यौ रुक्मभूषिते । आरुह्य शिबिकां सार्धमुत्तमेनाभिजग्मतुः ।। ४-९-४१ ।।

sanskrit

Both the queens of King Uttānapāda, namely Sunīti and Suruci, along with his other son, Uttama, appeared in the procession. The queens were seated on a palanquin. ।। 4-9-41 ।।

english translation

उस स्वागत-यत्रा में राजा उत्तानपाद की दोनों रानियाँ, सुनीति तथा सुरुचि और राजा का दूसरा पुत्र उत्तम दिख रहे थे। रानियाँ पालकी में बैठी थीं। ।। ४-९-४१ ।।

तं दृष्ट्वोपवनाभ्याश आयान्तं तरसा रथात् । अवरुह्य नृपस्तूर्णमासाद्य प्रेमविह्वलः ।। ४-९-४२ ।।

sanskrit

Upon seeing Dhruva Mahārāja approaching the neighboring small forest, King Uttānapāda with great haste got down from his chariot. He had been very anxious for a long time to see his son Dhruva, and therefore with great love and affection he went forward to embrace his long-lost boy. ।। 4-9-42 ।।

english translation

ध्रुव महाराज को एक उपवन के निकट पहुँचा देखकर राजा उत्तानपाद तुरन्त अपने रथ से नीचे उतर आये। वे अपने पुत्र ध्रुव को देखने के लिए दीर्घकाल से अत्यन्त उत्सुक थे, अत: वे अत्यन्त प्रेमवश दीर्घकाल से खोये अपने पुत्र का आलिंगन करने के लिए आगे बढ़े। ।। ४-९-४२ ।।

परिरेभेऽङ्गजं दोर्भ्यां दीर्घोत्कण्ठमनाः श्वसन् । विष्वक्सेनाङ्घ्रिसंस्पर्शहताशेषाघबन्धनम् ।। ४-९-४३ ।।

Breathing very heavily, the King embraced him with both arms. But Dhruva Mahārāja was not the same as before; he was completely sanctified by spiritual advancement due to having been touched by the lotus feet of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.।। 4-9-43 ।।

english translation

लम्बी लम्बी साँसें भरते हुए राजा ने उनको अपने दोनों बाहुओं में भर लिया। किन्तु ध्रुव महाराज पहले जैसे न थे; वे भगवान् के चरणकमलों के स्पर्श से आध्यात्मिक उन्नति मिलने से पूर्ण रूप से पवित्र हो चुके थे। ।। ४-९-४३ ।।

Reunion with Dhruva Mahārāja fulfilled King Uttānapāda’s long-cherished desire, and for this reason he smelled Dhruva’s head again and again and bathed him with torrents of very cold tears. ।। 4-9-44 ।।

ध्रुव महाराज के मिलन से राजा उत्तानपाद की चिर-अभिलषित साध पूरी हुई, अत: उन्होंने बारम्बार ध्रुव का सिर सूँघा और अपने ठंडे अश्रुओं की धाराओं से उन्हें नहला दिया। ।। ४-९-४४ ।।

Then Dhruva Mahārāja, the foremost of all nobles, first of all offered his obeisances at the feet of his father and was honored by his father with various questions. He then bowed his head at the feet of his two mothers.।। 4-9-45 ।।

तब समस्त सज्जनों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ ध्रुव महाराज ने सर्वप्रथम अपने पिता के चरणों में प्रणाम किया और उनके पिता ने अनेक प्रश्न पूछते हुए उनका सम्मान किया। तब उन्होंने अपनी दोनों माताओं के चरणों पर अपना सिर झुकाया। ।। ४-९-४५ ।।
