तदा दुन्दुभयो नेदुर्मृदङ्गपणवादयः । गन्धर्वमुख्याः प्रजगुः पेतुः कुसुमवृष्टयः ।। ४-१२-३१ ।।

sanskrit

At that time drums and kettledrums resounded from the sky, the chief Gandharvas began to sing, and other demigods showered flowers like torrents of rain upon Dhruva Mahārāja. ।। 4-12-31 ।।

english translation

उस समय ढोल, मृदंग तथा दुन्दुभी के शब्द आकाश से गूँजने लगे, प्रमुख-प्रमुख गंधर्व जन गाने लगे और अन्य देवताओं ने ध्रुव महाराज पर फूलों की मूसलाधार वर्षा की। ।। ४-१२-३१ ।।

स च स्वर्लोकमारोक्ष्यन् सुनीतिं जननीं ध्रुवः । अन्वस्मरदगं हित्वा दीनां यास्ये त्रिविष्टपम् ।। ४-१२-३२ ।।

sanskrit

Dhruva was seated in the transcendental airplane, which was just about to start, when he remembered his poor mother, Sunīti. He thought to himself, “How shall I go alone to the Vaikuṇṭha planet and leave behind my poor mother?” ।। 4-12-32 ।।

english translation

ध्रुव महाराज जब उस दिव्य विमान पर बैठे थे, जो चलनेवाला था, तो उन्हें अपनी बेचारी माता सुनीति का स्मरण हो आया। वे सोचने लगे, “मैं अपनी बेचारी माता को छोड़ कर वैकुण्ठलोक अकेले कैसे जा सकूँगा?” ।। ४-१२-३२ ।।

इति व्यवसितं तस्य व्यवसाय सुरोत्तमौ । दर्शयामासतुर्देवीं पुरो यानेन गच्छतीम् ।। ४-१२-३३ ।।

sanskrit

The great associates of Vaikuṇṭhaloka, Nanda and Sunanda, could understand the mind of Dhruva Mahārāja, and thus they showed him that his mother, Sunīti, was going forward in another plane. ।। 4-12-33 ।।

english translation

वैकुण्ठलोक के महान् पार्षद नन्द तथा सुनन्द ध्रुव महाराज के मन की बात जान गये, अत: उन्होंने उन्हें दिखाया कि उनकी माता सुनीति दूसरे यान में आगे-आगे जा रही हैं। ।। ४-१२-३३ ।।

iti vyavasitaM tasya vyavasAya surottamau | darzayAmAsaturdevIM puro yAnena gacchatIm || 4-12-33 ||

तत्र तत्र प्रशंसद्भिः पथि वैमानिकैः सुरैः । अवकीर्यमाणो ददृशे कुसुमैः क्रमशो ग्रहान् ।। ४-१२-३४ ।।

sanskrit

While Dhruva Mahārāja was passing through space, he gradually saw all the planets of the solar system, and on the path he saw all the demigods in their airplanes showering flowers upon him like rain. ।। 4-12-34 ।।

english translation

आकाश-मार्ग से जाते हुए ध्रुव महाराज ने क्रमश: सौर मण्डल के सभी ग्रहों को देखा और रास्ते में समस्त देवताओं को उनके विमानों में से अपने ऊपर फूलों की वर्षा करते देखा। ।। ४-१२-३४ ।।

tatra tatra prazaMsadbhiH pathi vaimAnikaiH suraiH | avakIryamANo dadRze kusumaiH kramazo grahAn || 4-12-34 ||

त्रिलोकीं देवयानेन सोऽतिव्रज्य मुनीनपि । परस्ताद्यद्ध्रुवगतिर्विष्णोः पदमथाभ्यगात् ।। ४-१२-३५ ।।

sanskrit

Dhruva Mahārāja thus surpassed the seven planetary systems of the great sages who are known as saptarṣi. Beyond that region, he achieved the transcendental situation of permanent life in the planet where Lord Viṣṇu lives. ।। 4-12-35 ।।

english translation

इस प्रकार ध्रुव महाराज ने सप्तर्षि कहलानेवाले ऋषियों के सात लोकों को पार किया। इसके परे उन्होंने उस लोक में अविचल दिव्य पद प्राप्त किया जहाँ भगवान् विष्णु वास करते हैं। ।। ४-१२-३५ ।‌।
