अनास्थितं ते पितृभिरन्यैरप्यङ्ग कर्हिचित् । आतिष्ठ जगतां वन्द्यं तद्विष्णोः परमं पदम् ॥ ४-१२-२६ ॥

Dear King Dhruva, neither your forefathers nor anyone else before you ever achieved such a transcendental planet. The planet known as Viṣṇuloka, where Lord Viṣṇu personally resides, is the highest of all. It is worshipable by the inhabitants of all other planets within the universe. Please come with us and live there eternally. ॥ 4-12-26 ॥

हे राजा ध्रुव, आज तक न तो आपके पूर्वजों ने, न अन्य किसी ने ऐसा दिव्य लोक प्राप्त किया है। यह विष्णुलोक, जहाँ विष्णु निवास करते हैं, सबों से ऊपर है। यह अन्य सभी इस ब्रह्माण्डों के निवासियों द्वारा पूजित है। आप हमारे साथ आयें और वहाँ शाश्वत वास करें। ॥ ४-१२-२६ ॥

एतद्विमानप्रवरमुत्तमश्लोकमौलिना । उपस्थापितमायुष्मन्नधिरोढुं त्वमर्हसि ॥ ४-१२-२७ ॥

O immortal one, this unique airplane has been sent by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is worshiped by selected prayers and who is the chief of all living entities. You are quite worthy to board such a plane. ॥ 4-12-27 ॥

english translation

हे दीर्घजीवी, इस अद्वितीय विमान को उन भगवान् ने भेजा है, जिनकी स्तुति उत्तम श्लोकों द्वारा की जाती है और जो समस्त जीवात्माओं के प्रमुख हैं। आप इस विमान में चढऩे के सर्वथा योग्य हैं। ॥ ४-१२-२७ ॥

मैत्रेय उवाच निशम्य वैकुण्ठनियोज्यमुख्ययोर्मधुच्युतं वाचमुरुक्रमप्रियः । कृताभिषेकः कृतनित्यमङ्गलो मुनीन् प्रणम्याशिषमभ्यवादयत् ॥ ४-१२-२८ ॥

The great sage Maitreya continued: Mahārāja Dhruva was very dear to the Supreme Personality of Godhead. When he heard the sweet speeches of the Lord’s chief associates in the Vaikuṇṭha planet, he immediately took his sacred bath, dressed himself with suitable ornaments, and performed his daily spiritual duties. Thereafter he offered his respectful obeisances to the great sages present there and accepted their blessings. ॥ 4-12-28 ॥

महर्षि मैत्रेय ने आगे कहा : ध्रुव महाराज भगवान् के अत्यन्त प्रिय थे। जब उन्होंने वैकुण्ठलोक वासी भगवान् के मुख्य पार्षदों की मधुरवाणी सुनी तो उन्होंने तुरन्त स्नान किया, अपने को उपयुक्त आभूषणों से अलंकृत किया और अपने नित्य आध्यात्मिक कर्म सम्पन्न किए। तत्पश्चात् उन्होंने वहाँ पर उपस्थित ऋषियों को प्रणाम किया और उनका आशीर्वाद ग्रहण किया। ॥ ४-१२-२८ ॥

परीत्याभ्यर्च्य धिष्ण्याग्र्यं पार्षदावभिवन्द्य च । इयेष तदधिष्ठातुं बिभ्रद्रूपं हिरण्मयम् ॥ ४-१२-२९ ॥

Before getting aboard, Dhruva Mahārāja worshiped the airplane, circumambulated it, and also offered obeisances to the associates of Viṣṇu. In the meantime he became as brilliant and illuminating as molten gold. He was thus completely prepared to board the transcendental plane. ॥ 4-12-29 ॥

english translation

चढऩे के पूर्व ध्रुव महाराज ने विमान की पूजा की, उसकी प्रदक्षिणा की और विष्णु के पार्षदों को भी नमस्कार किया। इसी दौरान वे पिघले सोने के समान तेजमय तथा देदीप्यमान हो उठे। इस प्रकार से वे उस दिव्ययान में चढऩे के लिए पूर्णत: सन्नद्ध थे। ॥ ४-१२-२९ ॥

तदोत्तानपदः पुत्रो ददर्शान्तकमागतम् । मृत्योर्मूर्ध्नि पदं दत्त्वा आरुरोहाद्भुतं गृहम् ॥ ४-१२-३० ॥

When Dhruva Mahārāja was attempting to get on the transcendental plane, he saw death personified approach him. Not caring for death, however, he took advantage of the opportunity to put his feet on the head of death, and thus he got up on the airplane, which was as big as a house. ॥ 4-12-30 ॥

english translation

जब ध्रुव महाराज उस दिव्य विमान में चढऩे जा रहे थे तो उन्होंने साक्षात् काल (मृत्यु) को अपने निकट आते देखा। किन्तु उन्होंने मृत्यु की परवाह नहीं की; उन्होंने इस अवसर का लाभ उठाकर काल के सिर पर अपने पाँव रख दिये और वे विमान में चढ़ गये जो इतना विशाल था कि जैसे एक भवन हो। ॥ ४-१२-३० ॥
